Avatar 3. Recontextualizing Digital Space

In this assignment, we were asked to create a small performance that disrupts or recontextualizes a digital space, which I chose to be my favorite app, Yelp. First, I went to the page of my favorite restaurant, "Love Mama", and went to the review page. Then I wanted to change the review I wrote a while ago into something totally irrelevant to the restaurant review. Instead of talking about the food there, I wanted to respond to the food experience there by singing a song "All you need is love" by Beatles to fool the people who read this. Then I hacked the page and changed all the reviews from the others into the same lyrics. Now, everyone sings the same song almost like a chant. I left some parts of the review comments from the other people below the lyrics so that the chant has some variations. The variations part is where my disruption and the real review parts meet, which makes this page interesting and confusing to the app users. Now the review page of Love Mama on Yelp has a musical or poetic performance in the most irrelevant place.
