Dancing in the Rain

Personal Project | Dec 2016

Physical Computing | Installation

Tools: Arduino Mega, 8 ultrasonic sensors, NeoPixel LED strip, P5.js, Fiber Optics, Acrylic, Umbrella

Physical computing installation of a musical interface that could be played as an instrument. Users can play music with peaceful notes representing raindrops (P5.js). They can also change the lights of the raindrops (Neopixel LED strip) by placing their hands under ultrasonic sensors (distance sensors) attached to an umbrella. Sections with highlighted notes become blue raindrops while the others remain as white and clear raindrops.
